M. Stephen Davis has been an attorney in California for over 38 years, focusing on escrow and real estate law in Southern California. During his career, Mr. Davis has prior appointments as the attorney member of the Escrow Advisory Committee of the California Department of Corporations, and his is currently legal advisor to the Escrow Institute of California, which includes attendance at monthly strategy sessions in connection with escrow industry and legislative developments.
Mr. Davis continues to handle legal matters, including administrative and licensing activities with the Department of Corporations and, as appropriate, with the Department of Insurance and Department of Real Estate. Mr. Davis also has a distinguished career in his trial work in escrow related actions, and frequently serves as an expert witness regarding escrow law, custom and practices.
Mr. Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, and a law degree from the Southwestern University Law School in Los Angeles, California.
